Fast Weight Loss Pills – Lose Weight Fast – Part 6

Welcome to the final installment of Fast Weight Loss Pills – Lose Weight Fast. We have gone through all the steps necessary to lose weight and keep it off, save for supplementation. If you follow the diet and exercise outlines in the previous articles you will be on your way to getting the body you want. Many times, we want to gain an extra edge when slimming down, and that is what fast weight loss pills are all about.

As we have discussed in previous articles, there are two types of weight loss pills. They are prescription and over the counter medications. So we are going to do a list of each that you can check out and see which one will fit YOU best.

Over the counter:

Clinicallix – A recent entry into the market, Clinicallix has great reviews by the people who have used the product. By all accounts it has taken the diet world somewhat by storm. By including several different substances known for accelerating fat loss this product has taken diet pills to a new level. It is also backed by several clinical trials where the placebo group loss a total of 4 pounds and the Clinicallix control group loss a total of 31 pounds. The biggest drawback to these weight loss pills might be it causes people to lose weight too fast causing other health issues, although to be fair there aren’t any reports of this at this time. It is still new enough to the market that it may be a while before we see the whole picture of this supplement’s effect on the body. That being said, it appears to be one of the best new products out today

Hydroxycut - A favorite of amateur bodybuilders the world over. This over the counter dietary supplement was possibly the most popular in the weight loss category for many years. Its popularity took a hit when the FDA put a ban on Ephedra a few years ago, as Ephedra was a main ingredient of this supplement. It was reformulated to exclude the banned substance, and has started to regain some more of its dominance.

Alli -  Alli is possibly the most popular weight loss supplement on the market today. It is one of the first and only over the counter diet pills to be approved by the FDA. It is basically a version of a prescription diet drug – Xenical – but at a lesser dosage. Most of the complaints people have with this pill is the side effects (leaky anal discharge being one of them, so I guess it “depends” on what you are willing to deal with for weight loss).

Prescription:

Phentermine – also known as Adipex, Phentermine is actually the generic name of these pills. It is a stimulant similar to amphetamine and an appetite suppressant. I have personally used this pill with great success, however I can attest the side effects are real. It appears to be one of the more popular choices judging from responses on line and discussing it with people I know.

Tenuate – This is also an appetite suppressant as are most weight loss pills on the market. Again, it is also a stimulant that affects the central nervous system, specifically the brain. It stimulates the brain to increase heart rate and blood pressure which will in turn decrease appetite. You should be aware this can also be a habit forming medication.

Didrex – This pill, also known by Benzphetamine, is kind of unique in that doctors aren’t sure exactly how it assists patients in losing weight. It appears to act on the appetite center of the brain to reduce hunger, however it doesn’t have the same strong side effects of our last two weight loss pills selections.  Of course, this could be due to the fact that while you are on Didrex you are required to maintain a fitness regimen consisting of both weight resistance and cardiovascular exercise.

Remember, these weight loss pills will help you lose weight fast, but not as fast or effective as when you combine them with proper diet and exercise!
